"My copy" being the one of yours that you're not reading, of course. :)

But of course. :-) The 2nd copy is coming to my workplace, so you'll have to wait til Monday, but its all yours then. You can keep it, even.

*scratches head* Okay, I'll bite. WHY are you getting two copies?

Because I'm a total geek. I ordered one copy to come to my house, and one copy to come to my workplace, because that way, if it comes on Saturday I'll be home, and if it doesn't come til Monday I'll be at work. Actually I don't know if that's geeky or just anal. :-)

Aw, you're sweet! I can use it as a loaner copy for other folks who didn't get their own.

(I am a fast reader, but I don't expect to swallow the whole book in one sitting due to having other things to do. OTOH, I might do so anyway.)

I'm not a fast reader, as such- I will do little else other than read once I do get it, that's for sure.

I'm only going to a book release event merely to see the nuttiness, not to be a part of it. I do plan to read likely the first few chapters when I get the book at midnight, but I do intend to sleep some that nite. I will likely have finished the book before Monday. As soon as I finish it, I'm headed to all the spoiler sites to see what they did wrong!

You missed "might get around to reading the first book, now that the series is fully written."

Or "might read the first book to see what all the fuss is about, but will try to be discreet about it 'cause I've been bashing Potter for so long."

I'm almost afraid to read the last book. The series has gotten increasingly dark, and if she gives us a Hamlet ending (i.e. one with dead bodies all over the stage -- good guys, bad guys, ordinary guys, and everybody down to the dust mites in the pillows, all dead), then I for one will be very angry!

Let's hope we don't need to have Harry Potter book burnings to protest....

See, what actually happens is that Harry is about to pull the sword out of the stone when Voldemort bites his finger off and takes the sword. He's about to slice open Charles Wallace when Uncle Merry Lyon, Fllewdur Fflam, and the big talking lion show up and shove Voldemort into the Crack of Doom, thus saving Munchkinland.

I hope I didn't give too much away.
