I woke at the usual time of 6:00 AM this morning, and it was still essentially dark out. Heat or no, autumn has crept up from behind and pounced.

I devoted this past weekend exclusively to rest. I needed it, because things will be moving at breakneck speed from now until January after the holidays. The play, the new publishing job, Iceland, Rochester, and the whirling dervish sub-season of December. We will be celebrating both Hanukkah and Cristmasolstice at The Leaning Tower of Bay State Avenue. Please join us.

Ironic timing -- as of next week I have to give up all caffeine, chocolate, and carbonated beverages for the next 6 months, due to a Chinese herbal medicinal program I will be beginning. (it concludes in March). These substances cancel out the effects of the herbs. I won't really miss the chocolate and I can grin and bear the absense of carbonation, but Life Without Coffee is going to be an entire journal unto itself, and a profane one at that. Consider yourself duly warned. ;-)

Yep. I have to postpone the China trip because of the new job (can't take that much time off). But I HAVE to go somewhere or I'll chew my own fists off, and Iceland was next on the list. So I'll do that as soon as the show is over, maybe around Thanksgiving.

Hey - where did you find this Chinese Herbal medicinal program and what is it for? I'm so curious!

It's for lean muscle tissue regeneration -- sort of the Chinese herb equivelent to HGH (but much safer). It goes along with prescribed exercise, of course. There's no way I'm letting my body get old before I'm toothless and in a walker.

You can find Chinese herbologists who will work with virtually any problem, from digestive issues to penis enlargement (not that I need it - I'm hung like a T-rex) :-)
