Great poll! I'd be on the awesome side for the possum pie if it were only kosher :)

Oh shoot, I should have picked something kosher! But most kosher meat isn't weird. *checks kosher list on intarwebs* How about antalope n' onion pie? :-)

Antelope is very good tasting.

But then again, when you think about what gefilte fish and gribbens are, we Jews already eat pretty disgusting things, so possum pie wouldn't be too far of a stretch should it be kosher.

The clueless half-Jew asks: what are gribbens?

Fried strips of chicken skins. They're disgusting.

I think he means "gribnes". Gribnes are the little bits of skin which fries up when you're rendering the schmaltz off of a chicken or goose. Little crunchy fried bits. They're good.

I tried vegetarian haggis in Scotland. I suspect I would have actually liked the real stuff better -- I'd rather eat a sheep's stomach than lentils any day :P

I could be wrong, but I think haggis is just cooked in the stomach. I don't think you're eating sheep's stomach but rather sheep's lung. Either way, the non-veg version is quite tasty!

Oops, I said Save Me but meant Awesome for the pet skunk. I don't love the smell, but I don't hate it, and I always think small mammals are cute!

All of the pet skunks have their scent gland removed, so the smell isn't a problem. They might have that general musky smell like ferrets have though. I haven't been lucky enough to ever get to hold one!

You can just fill out the poll again to correct your answers; click the "Poll #1242386" link, then click "[ Fill out Poll ]". Your previous answers will be selected, and you can just change the ones that were wrong.

I spend too much time on LJ. :-)

Fixed!
I feel similarly about ferrets -- don't love the smell, but I love small mammals. I lived next door to ferrets in my dorm, and the smell could be a problem, even though my neighbor was pretty conscientious about washing him. (It was worse with my friends who moved in with ferret-owners who let them roam free and who *weren't* particularly conscientious about washing them.) But the trouble was that it built up, so meeting ferrets (and presumably skunks) was never a problem.

FWIW, sky-diving is fabulous and I highly recommend that everyone who is physically able* should do it at least once.

I have the worst phobia of open heights. I'm sure I couldn't do it because I get faint-y when faced with open heights, and I would likely pass out before being able to open the parachute. Amazing how many people want to do it, though. Y'all should have a skydiving party some day!

*is dizzy*

I think I'd love it, if the mime were really good. It could be sort of like The Rental (the one-act play that Megan was in). Someone would buy me the mime date, he'd pick me up and entertain me with a romantic dinner and horse carraige ride, then deliver me home. I'd so do that! (but I'm weird)

I picked "Save Me," but I'm kinda glad SOME people picked "Awesome". :-)

Actually, I would be a little unnerved as a *blind date*, but if someone said "Hey, you wanna go on the following adventure?" I would undoubtedly be willing to try it. That's assuming I had an escape route in case it ended up being "Save Me" after all!

And I can actually imagine doing this (and having a lovely time) with my mime-proficient husband-to-be. :-D Only I think it'd be an extremely strenuous proposition for *him*! Mime is hard work!

Now that would be HOT! My [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit said Nay to the mime date, but maybe he'd be willing to BE the mime for me. :-)

Although I voted "AWESOME" for the piper, I would hope that at home he practices just with the chanter and not with the pipes. I love bagpipes, but would not enjoy hearing them full blast through the wall at all hours.

I love them, too. There used to be a boy in the neighborhood who practiced his bagpipe in the park near my house. It was lovely and distant enough from any houses that it wasn't loud. But I could see in-house practice being a problem!
