Everything is making me cry today. But they're tears of hope and faith. And that's all I ever wanted.

Between thinking about how Toots won't get to see Barack recite the oath of office to thinking about having the laughter of two adorable little girls echoing through the White House, chasing after their new doggie.

I would have voted for Obama no matter what, but your dedication has kept my spirits high and reminded me how much I love the fact that the country I was born in -- and am, thank the gods -- coming back to, is one where people dream and fight hard for those dreams. Especially that crying thing. Each time a new and hopeful image comes to mind, the waterworks threaten to break loose again. It's just such a jolt from the misery of the last few years.

On a more frivolous note: I am really impressed with you people who can drink and spell at the same time. :^ )
