My cats are turkey-crazed. Every time I open the fridge, they practically climb my legs even when I'm not there to get turkey, and Benjamin has attempted to jump in. I gave them some turkey right away when I got home yesterday and there has been no peace ever since. I did bring home extra to share with them, but I want some too and can only eat it locked in my bedroom against them.

Rowley wolfed down his first portion without even chewing, then promptly threw it up and wanted more. I made him wait, because that was just a waste.

I've already finished most of the food I brought home from your house! I ate the stuffing while watching Nightmare Before Christmas. The cats were even interested in that. :-)

Yes, most cats will KILL for turkey - or chicken. My Teddy EXPECTS first dibs on poultry - and gets it, too - after which I can eat in peace. He's actually quite a gentleman about it, compared to my old Siamese cat Tim Thai, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 1987, or my ancient Beatnik cat Reginald, who went "On the Road" from our home in Egleston Square in 1958, was later seen (by me) in Harvard Square, and who re-appeared on my mother's back porch every Thanksgiving and Christmas for some years after that in order to get ??? you guessed it - turkey!

Wow, that pretty amazing about the cat showing up every Thanksgiving and Christmas! They're pretty clever. :-)

One of mine is a Siamese. He's the most demanding animal I've ever lived with. But he loves me so he gets what he wants usually!

Oh Rowley! He once ate a handful of potato chips right out of my hand while I wasn't looking that time I cat-sat.

It kinda makes sense. Turkeys are birds, cats chase birds...
