America... you've just voted us four more years of joblessness, alienation from our foreign allies, threats to our innermost privacy and reproductive freedoms, economic instability, and senseless loss of life and resources in the private crusade of one Napoleonic illiterate with Christ on his sleeve and blood on his hands.

Here is no continuing city
Here is no abiding stay
Ill the wind
Ill the time
Uncertain the profit
Certain the danger

-T.S. Eliot

Nothing is possible but the shamed swoon of those consenting to the last humiliation.

I do not consent, my lord.

Ill the wind, ill the time. Grey is a few lines later.

We did not wish anything to happen
Four years we have lived quietly
Succeeded in avoiding notice

I wanna disconnect myself,
pull my brains damn out, unplug myself
I want nothing right now,
I want to pull it out

Remind me to tell you about the time I was in LA and got a ticket to be in the audience of the Jay Leno Show. Catherine Zeta-Jones was the headliner (her 2001 film with Billy Crystal was about to be released) and Lyle Lovett performed. Howie Mandell made a cameo appearance and Henry Rollins was also interviewed.

Now that I think about it, don't remind me to tell you about it as I just did. :)
