Hearing My Words

It felt so good, and a little relieving, to hear the script I wrote draw laughter at the jokes, and to even crack up my own actors a few times. The audience consisted of the festival's other casts and crew, so they were on our side, but it still felt affirming. Being a very new playwright (at least, new to mainstream writing and not performance art), I'm assuming a humble posture as we go forward with this. I'm really excited to see how the process unfurls.
