The trouble with freelance writing is that even if you don't feel inspired, you still have to do the writing anyway. Even if you were initially very excited to take the assignment, that excitement can wear off quickly when you're looking at a blank page and a deadline. There is no way I could do this as anything more than an occasional side gig.

I think that is part of the reason I don't look into freelance writing seriously and just do some writing on the Internet when I feel like it.
