Cherry Pop

Just when I thought I'd gotten over my daily soda habit, along comes Whole Foods 365 Black Cherry Soda. Three words: Pure. Cane. Sugar.

Now I just need 100 cases of it and a large inflatable kiddie pool.

Isn't it funny how cane sugar was vilified for decades, so much so that Sugar Smacks became Golden Smacks, and by the 80's many products proudly advertised use of alternative sweeteners like "a kiss of honey" or the ever wholesome corn syrup? Now the banished cane sugar is rebranded as PURE CANE SUGAR, top of the label, the pride of Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

But I've liked it and used it exclusively in my kitchen all along. :-)
