I'm wearing socks over my tights right now, and they are slipping down inside my boots too. It is at such times as this that one mourns the passing of the eminently sensible item of structural engineering known as sock garters.

Yeah, I hate that too. I have a similar problem with boxer shorts or bike-short style underwear riding up under my jeans.

(The obvious solution is not to wear boots or jeans, but that’s not always practical.)

I like the idea of sock garters. But what I really want is bespoke knee-length socks, knitted just for me, with a little button at the top so they're snug above the calf. And lots of padding. And toes. And a pony. But not in the socks.
