Sorry I still can't post a pic of my new short hair because the image is like 2400 pixels wide I can't figure out how to resize it in Gimp (I miss Photoshop on this computer!) and I don't have time to monkey with it, what with homework due tomorrow. But it is very short on the sides and back and tousle-headed on top and streaked blond and brown. Either a woman or a (hipsterish) man could wear the style well. When I went into Supercuts I was certain I would be leaving in tears and looking horrendous, but to my enormous surprise, it looks kind of awesome. I was in Supercuts for 3 hours (the coloring took a long time) and saw lots of people come in, and every single one of them left looking better than when they came in. I whole-heartedly recommend Supercuts, and especially Sherry, the manager who cut mine.

And now the unhealthy, falling-out hair is gone, and what's left is healthy and shiny. And my wuzzle likes it! I have new, high quality products and I will take good care of my hair and not abuse it with too-hot flatirons and such. The eventual plan is to grow it back out, but I think I'll rock this 'do for the summer months. :-)

You could post it here with <img src="hair.jpg" width="600" height="(something proportional)">

I should really figure out gimp or get Photoshop (it went away when I replaced my computer). But I have to do homework (as soon as I'm done playing Plants vs Zombies).

It sounds fantastic! Can't wait to see it (both in picture and in person). And what a great story to tell yourself at times when change seems terrible but necessary!

if you upload it to Flickr, it will resize it for you.

Hi, wuzzle! You need “Scale Image” on the “Image” menu. Then type either the width or the height you want in the appropriate box and hit return — the other dimension will adjust to match. Then click the “Scale” button. Then save the image (presumably with a new name, unless you want to overwrite the original).

Or you can just ask me to resize them all for you. :-)

Ron’s idea of resizing it with HTML will work in terms of not making it take up all the space, but the problem is that it causes the recipient’s browser to download the full-size image and just scale it before displaying, so it’ll be very slow to load.
