I see that a number of the mainstream news sites like MSNBC and Yahoo News have shut down some of the consistantly noxious and ignorant comment threads on articles related to Bin Laden's death. I don't disagree with this choice. If people want to post CAPSLOCK RANTS that the killing was faked and that President Obama is sheltering an alive-and-kicking Bin Laden in the Pentagon, I'm sure they'll find somewhere else to do it.

People talk about how YouTube comment threads are the worst, but I think the commenters on news articles, particularly on political stories, are worse than YouTube.
