Farmer Plumtree vs. Squirrels

The squirrels were at my baby cucumbers last night. I found the partially nommed cukes dangling on the vine, with the yellow flowers removed and wilting on the balcony railing. I just ordered a strip of anti-pigeon spikes to affix to said railing. Hope it serves to deter them.

I'm not to this point yet, but I'm aware of the option:

Ooh! I am sorry about the baby cukes. The one you showed on FB was so cute. Dratted squirrels. They used to eat all the seed in the bird feeders we had in Salem.
