Opening Night Report

The show opened last night, and it went really well! It wasn't sweltering hot, as I'd feared -- it was quite comfortable, in fact. We got to use the church's spacious nursery as our green room, and it is a wonderland of toys. I didn't actually touch any due to the general germy-ness of toys, but they were great fun to look at, especially the playhouse (my inner child still goes wild for playhouses). It was wonderful having so much room to relax in when not onstage. We don't get to have it tonight, alas.

After the show, beowabbit and I just went home rather than out with the group. I simply can't go out post-show on school nights anymore. It worked when I was unemployed, and when I had jobs where nobody cared whether I was in or not, but all that's changed. I resented my early curfew when I was a teen, but now I embrace it passionately.
