A Thanksgiving Greeting

Well! It looks like I haven't posted here since June! I do still read about once a week, but I wanted to hop on to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Tonight is cooking and baking night, in preparation for tomorrow and our guests. Hard to believe, but this will be the 9th year for
beowabbit and me hosting Thanksgiving together, and 10 years exactly since the first day we met at
surrealestate's Thanksgiving.
Three pies are currently in the oven (pumpkin, spicy apple and a cherry-apple crumble). Wabbit's mom
silverlibre is here from Illinois, and is making Waldorf salad, among many other treats. Wabbit is on potato duty as well as brussels sprouts. Everything but the turkey will be done before we go to bed tonight, and we won't be too exhausted to have fun with our guests.
What else is new? I was recently in the PMRP Halloween show, and have just been cast in the upcoming PMRP gender-swapped Star Trek. I'm still loving my work at the DOE. More in love with Wabbit with every day. Oh those pies are smelling so good!
I don't know who's still here, but wishing you and yours a delightful Thanksgiving!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Date: 2015-11-26 04:48 pm (UTC)Oooh, and you get to be the murder victim! Will you be stuffed inside a Jeffries tube, or do you guys just stand and read your lines? It's probably better for you if you do the latter, since I doubt a Jeffries tube is very comfortable. :-) And will you wear
pigfaceTellarite make-up? "You! Sarek of Vulcan, how do YOU vote?"Sorry, got carried away for a second. :-)
Gosh, you'll need a really excellent actress doing Spock. That scene in Spock's quarters where Amanda begs Spock to give up command of the ship so he can serve as a blood donor for Sarek, he refuses, and she slaps him and says she'll hate him for the rest of his life -- Spock has to sound appropriately Vulcan there ... and she also has to let us know that behind the Vulcan facade, her heart is breaking. That's a hugely difficult thing to do, and I still don't know how Mr. Nimoy did it, except that the man was a genius.
Yes, I'd love to come see it. I haven't been well enough to make it to Arisia for quite a number of years now. Actually, I'm rarely well enough to leave the %$#@ house. But please do keep us posted about when and where the performances will be! I'd love to see you AND your show (and your Wabbit, too).
