I'm so very happy that Sister Hazel will be playing at Avalon on June 11. This is my favorite band on the planet, and the news is a big surprise since I didn't think they were including the Northeast on their tour this year. They're in NYC the night before, and I'm very tempted to go down for the night so I can see them twice. Happy!

I finally bought Jump,Little Children (CD Spins, $4.99) because so many people I know are wild about them. Good call. Lead vocals with the level of dramatic tenor acrobatics I haven't heard since Freddie Mercury. I clock in less radio time than most (per not having a car, I think), so I'm always greatful for good listening suggestions like this.

Also purchased Saturday: Jimmy Eats World, The Yeah,Yeah,Yeahs, Blues Traveler. Good soundtrack for driving through southern California this coming weekend. I do love CD Spins.

How did I get this many mosquito bites already? I have at least 10, and counting. And who are these industrial mosquitos who can bite through denim? I haven't worn shorts or skimpy couture of any kind yet. Must not scratch...will not scratch...

The only one I know about from the listings is this Friday at the Paradise, but I'm going to be in California then. I got my Hazel tix for 6/11, though!

Ticketmaster is so evil. Their $4.50 "convenience charge" is hardly convenient in my opinion.

I have a friend I want to invite because he's taken me to a lot of Fleet Center shows for free, but he'll probably say no because he's not familiar with the band. So, I don't know! But the show's not sold out, so maybe an LJ group?
