...and I love me some headhunters. :-) 4 called, 5 e-mailed -- 9 different headhunters altogether, with two offers of position interviews already. Neither are in publishing however (one for an HR position, the other one doing I-don't-know-what at Gillette). I'll probably pass on both of these since I do want to stay in some sector of publishing. But, the rez has only been up for two days. Two days. Headhunters are the new Rock Stars. Now I don't know how I'll work out interviewing -- I'm being worked to the splintered, marrow-dripping bone at my current job. (But my real calling is Hyperbolizing).

Out of the blue today I got a nice chatty message from [livejournal.com profile] cometsong. He's doing well and loving St. Louis, busy shooting photos and working on the house. I sent him back lotsa luuurve from his T@F family back in the 'Ville.

Tonight was the first rehearsal for Hub Of The Universe radio drama group's upcoming, well, radio drama. Because I have a big role in Merry Wives and my acting platter is pretty full at present, I asked if I could try my hand at foley instead. I've always thought foley artistry would be the mostest coolest career ever -- you get to make noises for a living. I'll be trying it for the first time with this show, which goes up in October. Jello will be involved.

Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" is on in a few minutes! By-ee!

Might the Bookbuilders Boston Jobs page (http://www.bbboston.org/pageJobs.cfm) be useful? I don't know what exactly you're looking for, and it's been a long time since I was a production editor.

Boys, boys, don't fight! Well, ok, you can fight a little.

Is No Reservations as good as or better than A Cook's Tour?

WAY BETTER! It's wilder and bad-asser, more Tony. In "Cook's Tour" he had to restrain himself and behave, which as you might know from the book, he hated. This time around it's his own production and he can do any damn thing he wants. He swears freely (the worst ones bleeped out), goes to dangerous places for scary food, smokes while cooking, and raises general hell all over the world. Last night he got into the absinthe in Paris.

I am so in love. :-)

It's on at 10:00 PM Monday nights on The Travel Channel. I don't know what channel number that is. (I just hand the remote to Mr. DeKalb and say: "Directive: find Travel Channel.")
