Synergy & Garlic
Jun. 23rd, 2004 05:09 pmAt the risk of sounding like a skipping CD, can I just reiterate how much I love my cast?
We’ve been having extra rehearsals at my house to get off-book (last night we did it!). We work hard and it’s now paying off, but our rambling conversations and volleys of ribald humor are what make me so happy to be working with these people. We sit on the balcony laughing between runs of the play text. Last night we ate garlic-y goodness from Theo’s, made enough off-color jokes to deserve Parental Warning stickers on our foreheads, and had beer & wine under the stars (all two of them) afterwards. It’s like this freaky family of perfectly matched oddballs a'settin' on the porch sangin', except we’re doing avant garde parody instead of playing banjos. I know it sounds sappy, but it really cheered me up. Guess who’s going to cry on closing night of the show?
To the Christina-Jamin-Rob units....... I LoveLoveLoveLove you. :-)
