Pathetic Files: Vacuum Cleaner Bags
Nov. 15th, 2006 01:12 pmEverything is about vacuum cleaner bags. No really. I haven't been able to focus on anything else but vacuum cleaner bags all morning. I need them, you see, because I neeeeed to vacuum. I spilled ground coffee on the kitchen rug. And have cats. And a baglesss vacuum cleaner.
Ever since I got the vacuum cleaner from
cometsong two years ago, I've been too lazy/busy to hunt down replacement bags for the model, a Kenmore Magic Blue. Instead, whenever the not-designed-for-reuse bag was full, I'd empty it out manually and put the newly empty bag back in the machine. The bag was made of some cousin-of-Tyvek, so it stood up as well as could be expected for something doing far beyond it's intended job. It still worked even after it needed to be held together all over with gaffer's tape.
Until this week. It was full, it ripped into two dusty halves that no amount of gaff tape would reunite.
Goodness knows I never have time to go to Sears or anthing normal like that. Mister Interwebs was my only hope, and it's of note that I was jittery with stress, over vacuum cleaner bags. I needed a source for bag 51195 that offered speedy Priority Mail delivery. When I found one, angels sang.
Yes, okay. I could be posting about dining out or yummy sex or creative projects, but those all paled in my focus this morning, behind the mighty vacuum cleaner bags. They are coming, and it is good.
