Birthday Gratitude

Many, many thanks to the wonderful friends who turned out in spite of the pending snow to help me celebrate my birthday (a few days early). We ate dinner to the sounds of a cool blues jam that made me homesick for band singing, and when an unexpected high cover charge for salsa dancing drove us out, we took our toys and left. Special thanks (and a very,very,very big hug) to pheromone for opening her home to us once again on a cold night (I'm cooking you a vegan dinner soon, girl). Also to desultor for her lovely card that let me know I'm dispelling fears about aging for my li'l sistahs, and to co-birthday boy heliopsis, who gets it that you're only as old as you decide to be.
