A Wonderful Run
Jul. 23rd, 2006 01:48 pmYou know it was a great party at
pheromone's when I walk home barefoot. :-) The funny thing was, I knew exactly where my shoes were, but I just didn't feel like digging through the other shoes, and I wanted to feel the cooled-off sidewalk under my bare feetsies. Nothing else got bare last night, promise. (Well, nothing of mine, that is.)
I just want to give one last thank you to my cast, for rocking Surprise and for making me so glowingly proud of you each night when the shower of applause flooded over the closing music.
kingscompanion,
dietrich, and
she_ragroupie, you made my first directorial experience a delight and a wonderful learning opportunity.
Huge thank youz also to
pheromone and
vanguardcdk for steering the ship and leading us through a fantastically successful run. Hugs and congratulations to you both, and gratitude for letting me direct.
I had other favorite spots throughout the festival line-up that I looked forward to each night.
barodar's fabu-geeka-licious entrance in Playing Your Song,
crunkindonuts and
joyeous being "freaks" in Elephants and Coffee, relating way too much to
eclecticavatar's character in Brushstroke, and the improvised final curtain call hyjinks of
imlad and his partner last night (snip!). Those among many others.
Andy accompanied me from dinner on through to dancing in the wee hours at the cast party. Andy is a rock star. We have so much more fun together now that we're not dating and that pressure is off. He fits right in with my friends like he already knows them. He'll be showing up at auditions in the future. Won't be long 'til he's assimilated.
It's never over at T@F, so no goodbyes necessary. I'll be at auditions in two weeks for The Margaret Ghost. See you there. :-)
