Hugest Portions Ever
Nov. 24th, 2008 01:19 pmFor our stay-at-home dinner on Saturday night,
beowabbit and I ordered steak entrees from Midwest Grill Brazilian Barbecue via Foodler.com. $15.95 is somewhat near the high end for what we like to pay per entree, but it sounded really good and we couldn't go out because of my hurt back (which is better now, by the way). Neither of us had ever gotten delivery from Midwest Grill or eaten in the restaurant.
I kid you not when I say the entrees arrived each in a full catering pan. I have never in my whole life in super-sized America seen portions this enormous. Along with giant servings of beautifully grilled and sliced steak were pounds of rice & beans, french fries, and side salads. Each order was enough to easily feed 2 or 3 people, possibly 4. We both ordered the same entree, so we put one in the fridge right off the bat and started working on the other one. Even with
beowabbit's hearty appetite we couldn't finish it between the two of us. Also, it was absolutely delicious. We split up the leftovers when he went home on Sunday and we both had enough food for several meals.
I highly recommend this yummy feast-upon-delivery. If you have 2 or 3 people to feed, just get one entree (and extra side salads if you each want your own) and you'll be all set for less that $10 per person.
