Huh. 137 pounds today, down from 140 last Monday. I'm not sure whether to count this as actual loss though, since my week's eating pattern was 3 days of low-carb, 1 day of Valentine's eat-what-I-want, and 3 days of being too sick to keep food down. Oh, and no exercise, other than a few perilous walks over the icy tundra of Davis Square and Quincy. I'm feeling better today and will be able to eat something, by the way.

I don't know how my body manages to make 137 little pounds look fat. 137 is featherweight, in the grand scheme of things. I know people my height who weight in the 150s but are smaller than me by the tape measure. I have exceedingly fluffy fat. Time to dance on the treadmill and pretend I'm in OK Go.

I feel for ya.
The way I deal is not get on the scale and work every week on exercise and maintaining some level of healthy eating: portion control/fewer carbs.
I started in on this in late October and after 4 months, I feel like I'm inching towards where I want to be. Nevermind numbers, though. It's how the pants fit.

Exactly, the pants. Back when I used to go to the gym 4 times a week, I weighed about this much but I was thin. All about the transformation of fat to muscle. I wish Punk Rock Aerobics was still going. That would be such a fun way to work it off.

punk rock aerobics?! Awesome! I make do with the bouncy california girl (Turbo Jam)
Yeah, I've been turning marshmellow into filet mignon -still fatty but less so and oh so tasty! hahhahaaa. And really really, muscle is heavier than fat, so be it. It'd be nice to re-brain wash the fashion moguls back to the Marilyn Monroe era of healthy shape for the women-folk.
