Commuting for Dummies
Jun. 12th, 2007 08:47 amOur Heroine got on the wrong bus this morning. The numbers 80 and 89 look pretty much the same when you're near-sighted and not wearing your glasses as you should. I lemminged aboard, and although none of the regulars on my usual morning ride were present, I thought nothing of it and was so absorbed in studying my lines that I never looked up once until the bus was pulling into Sullivan Square, last stop. I had to take the T in to North Station and back out again to Lechmere. All that after feeling so smug about being uncharacteristically ready for the bus on time.
At least I'm off-book now.
PS - You're welcome for my newly minted past tense verb "lemminged." But would it more correctly be "lemmung?"

Just be glad you weren’t trying to conjugate it in German. I’m sure it’s got to be irregular in German.
