Dear friends and loved ones of [livejournal.com profile] beowabbit,

Our beloved boy is turning 41 next month! When asked what he would like from his friends, he tends to lean towards the "presence, not presents" camp, but this time I got him to fess up to a desire for a new Utilikilt, a choice that I and his other admirers wholeheartedly support! He'd love a UK that is street-wearable, so that the world at large can see him in it. We can do. :-)

I've opened a PayPal donation fund for any of his friends/family/tribe/peeps who want to get in on the gift. It isn't a suprise, and he'll see your name on the card (unless you request to be anonymous). I'm leaving this post public so that he can link it for his own f'list.

To make it more fun, why not e-mail me and answer the question "Where would I like to see Jay wearing his Utilikilt?" I'll put it on the card. :-)

EDIT: He doesn't want the Leather or the Tuxedo, so no need to give 'til it hurts or anything. He just wants a daily-wear kilt, and he has a lot of friends. :-) Just a wee donation is plenty :-)

Here's the button:

So, which one does he want? The leather one? The mocker? What?

"Where would I like to see Jay wearing his Utilikilt?"

At the Massachusetts Supreme Court, where he testifies -- in his persona as the closest-thing-to-a-head/president/whatever that PolyBoston has -- about why they should make it legal for someone to marry more than one person at a time.

(Hey, I didn't say that he WOULD, just that I'd like to see it!)

P. S. -- I'm asking which one he wants so that I know how large of a donation to make. If you're trying to raise $131.25 from all of Jay's friends, you'll need less from this particular friend than if you're trying to scrape up $625.85.

He definitely doesn't want the leather. He mentioned wanting relatively smooth lines, which would be the sexah Mocker or the Original. But he might be tempted by the infinite pocket capacity of the Workman or the Survival, which are like cargo kilts.

So yeah, no need to break the bank on this one. I'll add that to the post. (and wow, the prices of Utilikilts have really come down!)

Paypal said to me:

"An email with your order summary has been sent to [my e-mail address]

Your order is being shipped to
[My street address]

Merchant Contact Information
[plumtree's e-mail]"

Hmm. I didn't realize that you were going to ship me a Beowabbit in a Utilikilt. Can I do whatever I want with him? :-)

Hee! That's weird. I'm new to PayPal, and it looks like they word their messages on the presumption that everyone is selling something.

But I can send you a nice kilted Beowabbit. :-)

I am sooo sorry it took me for ever to deal with this. I hope my contribution will be useful.

Thank you so much for coordinating.
