If you live anywhere in the Boston area, please, please go see The Big Broadcast of October 30th, 1938 by the Post-Meridian Radio Players at the Somerville Theater tonight or tomorrow. These are my friends and my theatre family, and they'll be putting on a fantastic, one-of-a-kind show.

I was originally in the show as the senior foley artist, rehearsed with them right up until tech week, but I've fallen so ill and am not getting better and the reality is setting in that I'm not going to be well enough to do any performances at all. I sobbed in Jay's arms this morning. I'm crying now, knowing that I can't be up there with my team. You might be thinking, why does this matter so much, it's just a show. I can't explain. I guess you'd have to be a theatre person to understand. My costume that I love so much is hanging on my closet door. I can't even look at it, I'm that heartbroken.

Cast and crew, break a leg. Everybody else, please treat yourself to this wonderful show. I'm there in spirit.

I was there last night and it was an awesome show. The foley was perfect and I'm sure it was because of all your work leading up to the performance. You were there in spirit and were still a big part of the show.

Please get well soon, we have walking and other fun things to do!

I can certainly imagine how you feel and am heartbroken on your behalf.

If you can make it to see the show, which I desperately hope for, wear the costume for it. At the least you can be as much part of the mood-setting as you're up for. *hugs*

*fresh wave of tears*

That is my one last hope, that I'm well enough to attend the final performance as audience, in my costume. And help with strike if I can.

You guys are the best foley team ever.

I'm going tonight and I'm really going to miss seeing you up on the foley stage. Get well soon! I hope you can recover enough to at least watch the show as a member of the audience on Saturday.

We saw it last night and I thought of you a lot. I know how heartbreaking this is for you and all I can say is that your work is still up there, even if you're not.

Yes, this. Exactly what she said. I hope this unfortunate illness departs in all due haste.

I don't think anyone is thinking: "Why does it matter so much? It's just a show!" Of course it's heart-wrenching. Suckfest indeed.

Thank you so much for all you've done for the show, and for continuing to support it with such vigor. We miss you like crazy up here, and I do hope you get to see it.

Hugs and kisses (but not the transmitting kind) to you always.

No crying! You were missed, because we all know what you put into this. But...you getting better is way more important than any show - don't let Rob hear me say that, but it's true.

So rest and know that we miss you and wish all was well, but we'd rather have our healthy and happy Mare back then coughy and miserable feeling Mare.

We love you, Mare! We're so sad you and your sassy costume can't be there with us and miss you terribly!

*hugs the Mare lots* We saw the show tonight and it was incredible. I know that was due in part to all the hard work you put into it.
