A Hit! A Palpable Hit!

Well, we closed out the one-act festival with a bang of a weekend. Three sold out performances -- we directors and RAs had to sit on the stairs every night for lack of available chairs! But we loved it and became a true peanut gallery, hooting and laughing and screaming ENCORE each night for 15 Minute Hamlet. A cast party followed last night, and apparently beowabbit and I left when things were still tame. Seven years in, this insane theatre family is still rocking! My cast made me a custom commemorative T-shirt! Enormous thanks and applause to barumonkey, surrealestate, saxikath and Lev!

Facebook is alight today with people from the show friending each other. I've acquired 5 or 6 new ones myself just since this morning.

The world premiere run of A Nice Danish Boy was amazing, and I just wish the playwright had been there to see it. beowabbit took lots of photos from all of the plays, and I'm sure they'll go up anon.

The crazy train doesn't stop now; I have Red Shift rehearsal tomorrow. Waves and hugs to everyone involved with this year's festival, and everyone who came to see it. We'll never stop acting so crazy!

It was ungodly hot in the performance space, BTW, and I know how you melt in the heat. So it might be all for the best that you missed this one. I could have filled several gallon jugs with my sweat!

I wasn't still there (I miss EVERYTHING!) but I did get to hear it on Facebook. It's mostly audio only (was it outside) but it was awesome!

Yeah, sorry about the poor visual quality--It was outside, and there was only the porch light for illumination. I should start lugging my actual digital video camera around to some of these parties. It has a much better light sensitivity and resolution than my regular camera.
