I think this poll has just a bit of selection bias ;-)

My thought exactly! But maybe the larger goal is to compile the LIST of regular readers. :-)

Yes, I just want to see how worth it it continues to be per posting here. It often feels like nobody reads anymore. Looks like there are a few left, though.

I'm actually higher than your first option: I read daily, and I tend to comment daily. Of course, if I'm out of town or insanely busy, I'll miss posts but I always make it up later, even if I don't comment.

But I have a lot of active posters on my list, so while there has been some drop off, I always have something to read.

i read daily and comment a few times a week, i'd say, but it doesn't always work out that the comments get distributed evenly. generally the people with more dramatic newsy lives get the most comments. :-)

plus, mare, i've been trying to leave you alone about getting married, so i find myself censoring what i would naturally say a bit more, so often i don't leave a comment when i otherwise would have.

There's still a selection bias, because I check LJ several times daily. I don't comment unless I feel I have something of value to add, even if it's just a pebble. LJ continues to be my primary and preferred form of social media.

Some of my friends are ONLY on Live Journal, so if I do not look in here, I would lose touch with them. Ido not usually answer friends on BOTH LJ and FB, so if I reply to you on one, I wil not reply on the other. Also, I dont duplicate posts from one to the other - AS A RULE -- but there are occasional exceptions. I would miss LJ if it ceased to exist. Because it is a journal I have posted a lot more of ME in it, while on FB I have given voice to my political/philosophical views more than I do here. I like having that political voice and having others with whom I can communicate. I notice too that most of FB friends are Americans, while on LJ I have a few who are from other countries. I enjoy the cultural exchange I get with these LJ friends from across the water.

I'm sorry I haven't commented in ages. I did the occasional popping-in thing for about a year but have recently started reading regularly again. I am hoping I will be able to keep scanning through my flist every few days regularly, but I doubt I'll do much commenting. I still love you and all the rest of my Boston friends, though, even if I am largely absent nowadays.

I read it daily -- sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. Since you posted the query four days ago I guess that indicates my tendency to comment.
